We are currently looking for a talented Development/Formulation Chemist to support the expansion of our extensive product range.
We are keen to talk to degree level chemists with industrial experience, preferably gained by hands on formulation and production of cleaning/hygiene products.
The ideal candidate will have an innovative, methodical, problem-solving approach to this important role with a proven track record of delivering excellence. A good communicator is key as this role provides feedback of product formulation projects to key departments in the company.
Key Responsibilities - Essential
* Supporting the development of new products according to commercial briefs and market demands
* Supporting the creation and substantiation of product claims and USPs
* Assisting the scale up and production of new products
* Supporting the identification, sourcing and assessment of novel and alternate raw materials, alongside pursuing ingredient sustainability issues
* Contributing to the development of analytical laboratory methods for new and existing raw materials and finished products
* Facilitating stability testing, user trials and challenge testing
* Supporting the Quality Control department with respect to non-conforming products
* Keeping accurate, detailed records of product development including analytical work
Desirable
* A working knowledge of relevant chemical-related regulations including CLP, Detregs, biocides & cosmetics
* Add value through review and assessment of dosing strategies, application concepts and testing methods
