GRAPHIC VINYL SIGNMAKER & DIGITAL PRINT OPERATOR
Salary: GBP(phone number removed) - GBP20800
Benefits: Pension scheme, 28 days holiday
Hours: 40 per week, 8.15am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, 7.45am to 4.00pm Friday
Location: Long Eaton, Nottingham
Our client has been manufacturing superior screen printing since 1948 and more recently large format digital printing. Working in the commercial industry, they offer a wide range of graphic services including plant and vehicle markings, point of sale displays and advertising banners, screen printing and promotional prints for exhibitions. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced sign maker who will be experienced in the operation of vinyl plotters and digital printers. This is a production role primarily in outputting multiple jobs for customers on a daily basis.
Job Duties:
Daily printing and cutting on narrow format 15"Gerber Edge output printers and plotters using Gerber Omega software.
Vinyl cutting multiple jobs on wide format plotters on different materials.
Digital printing using HP Latex printers, colour control and colour manipulation.
Organising the workflow with production to ensure the correct sequence of work daily.
Stock control, maintenance of all equipment, housekeeping within the department.
Work effectively with other operatives in this department.
Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.
Work overtime as required by the business.
The Ideal Candidate:
5 x GCSE passes at minimum grade C or equivalent.
Knowledge of HP Latex printers, ONYX rip software, colour control and colour manipulation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to check colour control, and digital prints for quality.
The employee must be prepared to respond to emergencies should they occur
