My Crawley based supply chain client is growing and is now seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join them on a permanent basis!
The Purchasing Assistant will work closely with the sales team and will source items via a pre-approved supplier list as well as via web-based searching. They will be seeking the right items at the right price for their customer base.
They will be involved in raising purchase orders and on occasion, will be assisting the sales team in dealing with incoming sales enquiries by phone and email, as and when required.
Ideal candidate profile:
Candidates do not need to have experience in any particular industry; however, it is essential that you have 2 years minimum previous office experience with buying experience too
Articulate communicator with confident telephone skills
Good MS Office skills with the ability to quickly pick up bespoke software
Friendly and professional demeanour
Fluent in written and verbal English
Additional information:
The small team work from an immaculate office in Crawley with free parking
Starting salary is GBP22,000
Monday - Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm
