Exciting opportunity for two Forklift Drivers to join our Production Team based in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire

Role Requirements & Responsibilities

Setting up the Line

Liaise with supervisor/team leader prior to the start of the shift to ensure that all required raw material, pallets are available for operatives to commence work immediately upon entering the environment.

Supply grader with empty bins and remove full bins from the line as required.

Also, produce a label with the correct information for each bin, IE. Correct size, grower.

Stock Rotation

Ensure that all stocks are scanned correctly to the right location and in rotation thus minimizing the risk of over-pack and downgrading raw material.

Cold Storage/Onion Stores

Ensure that all products and bins from the grader/production are stored safely in the cold storage area and onion stores.

Finished/Grade Product

Ensure that all product, once finished with, is either returned to cold storage (with appropriate pallet/bin labels) or taken to dispatch/onions store.

All products ready for dispatch are to be stored in the correct place, always.

Communicate with the dispatch team to ensure that product can be readily found.

Scanning

The accurate recording of material brought out from and returned to storage, ensure this is completed on a daily basis thus providing the teams with information relating to pack-outs. Ensure that every time a pallet/bin is moved, its scanned to its new location.

Hygiene

At the end of each shift assist with the cleaning and tidying of all the production areas ensuring that site safety and hygiene rules are adhered to at all times.

Forklift

In compliance with the safe working procedures for forklifts, ensure daily checks are carried out on all machinery prior to their usage and report any faults as soon as they become apparent, thus minimizing the risk of accidents.

Intake/Yard

Only use JCB in the back yard if fully trained.

Usage of Ramp, only if fully trained.

Loading and unloading vehicles with bins or pallets

Grader

Change and clean topper beds and blades, while the grader is not running.

Clean coils and belts while the grader not running.

Responsible for sorting and fixing grade screens

Change of screens as required by Line Manager.

Banksman as required when fully trained.

Lean Responsibilities

Contribute to daily Top5 meetings (team communication sessions).

Understand the performance indicators discussed in your Top5 meeting.

Candidate Requirements

RTITB forklift licence essential.

Excellent coordination.

Good time-management skills.

Hours of work: 78.85 hrs/14 days - Panama shift 05:45 am to 18:00 pm
