Job Title: Training Systems Officer

Location: Lewes, East Sussex

Salary: GBP12.16 - GBP12.97 per hour (full time equivalent of GBP23,713 - GBP25,297 per annum)

Part time: 22.5 hours per week

This is a fixed 12-month contract.

Our client is looking for someone to contribute to the effective operation of the Training Department by supporting the maintenance and development of effective training administration systems, co-ordinating administrative support to the team and supervising the Training Administrators.

Responsibilities

Managing Training Administrators and co-ordinating training administration systems

Manage Training Administrators and provide supervision to develop their performance and skills
Monitor and maintain systems for administration of training, in conjunction with the Training Systems Team Leader
Use of "iTrent" (HR/Payroll/Training database) to manage the training requirements for all staff groups.
Support administrators to troubleshoot issues with data or databases, and refer complex or serious issues to the Team Leader
Co-ordinate plans for mandatory induction training, liaising with senior colleagues when training requirements change for existing or new roles
Co-ordinate systems for mandatory refresher training
Use of "Business Objects" (iTrent database querying tool): creating, and adapting existing, reports to monitor compliance and data quality
Monitor the capacity of training courses against projected demand

Training Administration

Assist with preparing training facilities to meet high standards of training delivery
Booking staff on courses and processing cancellation requests in line with agreed systems
Use of data and reports to set up courses within defined training programmes so that there is sufficient capacity to meet future demand
Liaise with colleagues in HR and IT to process notifications of staff movement in to, and out of, roles.
Maintain a waiting list for all courses where it has not been possible to book staff on courses they require.

Requirements

Able to organise and maintain administrative systems
Experience of working in a team
Able to arrange and analyse data exported from databases
Strong organisation and attention to detail skills
Have a logical and methodical approach to working with large datasets
Able to work as a team as well as individually
Good interpersonal, communication and engagement skills
Able to present data using standard office software
Able to communicate in a respectful manner
Able to use own initiative and a solution focused approach when solving problems
Able to deal carefully with confidential and sensitive information
