Nielsen Book provides a range of services to the book industry internationally, aiding the discovery and purchase, distribution and sales measurement of books. As a Testing and Integration Analyst, you will work in a friendly testing team and contribute to upholding and developing the company's data quality standards.

This position is ideal for you if you have a high level of attention to detail and you possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

*

Test and analyse electronic data feeds supplied by publishers and other organisations prior to implementation to ensure industry and department standards are maintained

*

Test Nielsen Book systems end to end for enhancements and fixes using the Agile approach - checking for system issues and accuracy, and reporting defects precisely and promptly

*

Perform User Acceptance Testing for major new projects and co-ordinate/facilitate the UAT for other editorial teams

*

Investigate and resolve data quality issues and problems, working closely with publishers and suppliers

*

Ensure the data produced for the full range of our products is accurate and reliable and meets agreed quality standards

*

Work proactively with publishers and suppliers to help educate on best practices and raise data standards overall

*

Test and monitor the quality of non-UK input and output, feeding back issues as appropriate

*

Carry out other duties as may be required from time to time by the Team Leader

Qualifications

*

Highly proficient general PC skills

*

Good level understanding of the ONIX standard is preferred

*

Good Excel skills

*

Knowledge of Nielsen products and services would be an advantage

*

Highly proficient in handling different types of data files e.g. CSV, XML

*

Strong communication skills, written and verbal

*

High-level attention to detail

*

Ability to think logically
