PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
FIXED TERM CONTRACT
MANCHESTER
GBP40,000
A market leader across transport systems is seeking a Project Accountant. You will be responsible for the delivery of effective project accounting and commercial support. This role is based in Manchester and offered on a fixed term contract basis until May 2022 with a possibility to become permanent in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Project Accountant your key duties will include:
* Completing monthly forecast, proposal of reasonable adjustments and submission
* Reporting reconciliations with SAP, variance analysis vs budget and forecast
* Maintaining and reconciling with current budget/forecast, raising of variances with the Commercial Manager for approval to change
* Planning, co-ordinating and submitting budget
* Hedging and hedge accounting of all foreign currency exposures on projects
* Preparing monthly Financial Review meeting and presentation
* Inputting actuals, forecast, POC model phasing and risk register phasing
* Updating forecast dates for milestones, actions, chase up and update to PMs
* Raising of NCCs in the system and aid in set up of lessons learned with responsible PM
* Raising of Invoicing & payment of supplier invoicing
* Registering maintenance, ownership of portion of RR risks and drive to mitigation with key stakeholders
* Setting up meetings for the project - financial review, quarterly review, risk register review and publishing of minutes for these meetings for purposes of ICFR
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be considered for the role of Project Accountant, you must have:
* Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent with experience in a project-based industry
* Excellent accounting skills with ability to demonstrate understanding and interpretation of key financial statements
* Knowledge and experience using SAP
* Familiarity with percentage of completion
* Strong willingness to learn and develop
