Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary SEN High Needs and Tracking Officer to work in Enfield. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying GBP240.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

This role requires a high level of work with ICT software to quality assure high quality written EHC Plans, written by officers, collated from a variety of professional reports, allocate out funding for mainstream schools using our in-house funding calculator for high needs top-up and track performance against our national and local performance targets as well as against our statutory duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and escalate any budget risks.
Set and monitor individual and team performance standards.
Constructively challenge and take action with pace where there are performance shortfalls.
Ensure that clear team and individual goals are in place and communicated.
Implement service improvement plans to time and budget.
Be responsible for implementing the systems in place for distribution of the High Needs top-up.
Have regard to High Needs Funding Operational Guidance and liaise with finance regarding any annual changes to it that mean operational system changes may be required.
To assist with budget monitoring.
Responsibility for service reporting required by the Head of Service and SEND Service Manager.
Attend a range of panels/meetings, advising/presenting information in relation to children/young people with SEN.
Devise, organise and participate in training of LA, school and college staff, Governors and other agencies in relation to High Needs Top-up funding systems and data &/or casework management systems processes and procedures.
Monitoring and evaluate individual performance against statutory timescales, bringing any under performance to the attention of the line manager.
To represent the SEN Service on working groups relating High Needs Block and Statutory KPI tracking.
Contribute to the Service Development Plan and provide strategic development and forward planning in respect of SEN contributing to the Annual Report.
Ensure service targets are met.
Attend relevant local and national training as appropriate.
Any other duties reasonably requested by management.
Carry out all accountabilities in compliance with the Council's Policies and Procedures.
Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: A relevant degree.
Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience within a similar role.
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check and references covering 5 years.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 35 hours p/w.
