Job Title: Press Operator
Pay Rate: GBP11.46ph (6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm) - GBP14.33ph (10pm - 6am) + Overtime premiums (37.5 Hours a week)
Hours: 3 shift Rotation ( You must be able to work all 3 shifts)
Location: Bradford
Contract: Permanent

OVERVIEW:
Our market leading client based in Bradford are looking for an experienced Power Press Operator. You will be expected to work as part of a team on a day to day basis under the supervision of the Team Leaders. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Power Press Operator who is looking to join an innovative company that has recently heavily invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment involving high speed production machinery. You will join the Power Press team who are responsible for the safe operation of plant and equipment maximising output and efficiency in conjunction with delivery of our ISO9001 and ISO14001 requirements.
Typical Responsibilities will include:
* Working on Power Presses up to 40 tonnes
* Installation of tooling, setting of the Power Presses and ancillary equipment in line with SMED principles
* Carrying out quality control procedures and keeping accurate records of measurements
* Identifying non-conforming parts and instigating product isolation procedures when necessary
* Trace and correct running faults on the Power Press
* Reporting breakdown and/or maintenance issues to the Production Management team
* Packaging and storage of finished products
* Maintaining housekeeping standards and organising/participating in the timely removal of scrap
Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
* Experience working with Power Presses in a high-volume manufacturing environment
* Conversant with using measuring equipment
* Good level of literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Good eye for detail
Desirable Qualifications - (willing to train the right candidate)
* FLT counterbalance
* PUWER Power Press Certificate
