Engine Maintenance Technician - Large Engines
GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 (DOE) plus benefits incl. van, laptop, etc.
Huddersfield (M62 Corridor) - Field Based
MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Engine Maintenance Technician, to carry out field-based maintenance on a number of large reciprocating engines based in the Northwest, predominantly along the M62 corridor. Our client is an established business within the Power Generation sector, with the opportunity for an experienced field-based Service Engineer to join their team.
As an Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
Providing field-based maintenance across multiple sites
Electrical & mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance
Commissioning, service & repair of large engines (MANN, Jenbacher, MWM & Caterpillar etc.) & ancillary CHP equipment
Overhauls and rebuilds
Ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to at all times
Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you should have:
Experience carrying out maintenance on reciprocating engines, gas engines, CHP gen-sets, diesel engines or large HGV engines & associated plant
A recognised mechanical apprenticeship (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience
Ideally multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience (mechanical bias)
Sound knowledge of health & safety
Full UK driving licence
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding business within the Power Generation sector.
The package on offer includes an attractive basic salary up to GBP35,000 (depending on experience), with other company benefits including van, pension, holidays, etc. This is a days-based only role.
