A growing manufacturing business supplying a variety of retailers from SME's to large blue chips on an international level, are now recruiting a Mould Shop Manager to help increase output whilst maintaining their high quality standards. Their orders have continued to increase during the pandemic, but processes need improving and implementing to ensure stable growth is maintained
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for improving existing production process, but not be afraid to challenge the status quo and implement new ones. Winning the hearts and minds of your direct reports, you will focus on getting the 'buy in' of your team in order for these changes and improvements to happen with minimum friction. Liaising with stakeholders of all levels, you will utilise your experience to confidently project future growth plans and take a 'make it happen' mentality to ensure your plans reach fruition.
Some of your responsibilities are listed below:
The daily running of the department, managing approximately 50 staff made up of Setters, Maintenance Engineers, Operators and Material Handlers.
Organising the workload, ensuring enough raw material is available and also dealing with dispatch of stock.
Providing technical support as the technical go-to on site with regards to moulding, trouble shooting, etc.
Playing a key part in strategy planning with regards to the growth of the company.Candidates likely to be suitable role will hold the same job title, or similar such as Shift Manager, Process Engineer, or Production Manager.
To be successful in this role the ideal Candidate will -
Be an experienced plastic injection Mouldshop Manager
Have previously managed teams of over 20 people within a plastics manufacturing environment
Have excellent moulding knowledge, knowing how to set from scratch, trouble shoot moulding and processing issues, and carrying out process optimisation.
Be experienced with implementing continuous improvement methods.Based near Coventry, this role is easily commutable from Birmingham, Leicester, Burton, Tamworth, Loughborough, Leamington and Daventry.
