We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Officer to join our HR department with the first 6-12 months focus on recruitment and onboarding. Your role will become more generalist over time.

At present, the HR department are all primarily home based but working towards a hybrid way of working. Therefore, a good internet connection and a practical home office environment is essential.

What will I be responsible for?

In the longer term your role will cover all aspects of HR but initially, as our HR Officer you will collaborate with hiring managers to write suitable job descriptions and job adverts for vacancies as well as posting and managing job adverts on the Company website and job boards, working to a target of vacancies being filled within 3 months of adverts becoming live. Your role will also involve:

Screen all incoming applications and carry out first stage telephone interviews to assess suitability
Arrange all first and second stage interviews and be the main point of contact for all candidates through the recruitment process
Attend first interviews with the hiring manager (usually online) and complete all interview related administration
Provide timely feedback to candidates, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the recruitment process
Generate offers of employment and apply for references once offers are accepted
Work with the wider HR team to issue contracts, plan inductions, collate necessary new starter paperwork and arrange any relevant meetings for new starters
Ensure probation periods are effectively monitored and feedback is shared
Work with other departments to complete recruitment related projects

Trustworthy, able to work with integrity
