Estimator

Located in Sheffield, An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join the sales team of one of our larger manufacturing clients sales team.
Typical duties within the position will include:
* Costing and preparation of bespoke fabrication quotations
* Sourcing of material and outwork costs
* Responding to questions and queries both internally and from our customers
* Negotiating with our customers to secure orders
* Use of bespoke costing tools
* Use of drafting software packages
Given the nature of the role, it would lend itself well to someone with the following skills and experience:
* Commercial awareness and analytical thinker
* Experience of fabrication estimation working in a manufacturing business
* Understanding of manufacturing methods
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to read construction drawings, Bills of Quantities and interpret client requirements
* Experience of using drafting software
* Strong mathematics skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Accurate with good attention to detail.
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
* Able to work under pressure and be able to work on their own using their initiative
* UK driving licence
