Internal customer account manager.
Working within our commercial department you will be handling various customer accounts, covering a wide range of tasks in the sales process.
You will be communicating with buyers and engineers, and required the ability to understand the technical aspects of our manufacturing process.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing daily activities with specific customers.
* Proactive engagement by telephone and email.
* Scheduling and taking part in project start/review meetings.
* Reacting to RFQ's.
* System administration using MRP to enact the quotation process.
* Creating quotations within our ERP system, for custom built electronics.
* Reviewing costing reports (Excel based)
* Order reviews & cost analysis.
* Customer follow up, negotiating on winning new projects/orders.
* Scheduling tasks for internal departments, using sharepoint.
* Processing purchase orders under a contract review process.
* Administrative tasks relating to orders, quotes, estimates and bids.
* Providing customers with daily/weekly/monthly progress updates.
* Supporting customers with information.
2+ years within a commercial environment and/or manufacturing company. Experience in working with customers, and fully conversant with administrative tasks.
* Analytical/logical thinking
* Understanding of 'issue control' applied to drawings/data
* Knowledge of the contract review process
* Commercial awareness to costs and margins
* Excellent IT Skills, particularly strong in MS Excel
* Excellent communication skills with customers and suppliers
* Experience of some stock control or MRP system
* Under 45 minutes distance from our offices, in usual travelling conditions
