This is an exciting opportunity to join the multi-award winning Facilities team at Manchester Met within the Commercial Services department (Accommodation, Catering and Conferences) on their journey to become the best Facilities department in the sector and support the University's ambitions of becoming the best modern University in the UK.

About the role:

The Residential Life Supervisor will manage the Residential Advisor teams and liaise with other Residential Services Managers and leased Hall Managers to ensure:

  • The provision of excellence by providing a friendly and professional peer-to-peer welfare support service to students living in University accommodation
  • Development and delivery of the Residential Life Programme to enhance the student residential life experience, supporting improved student retention and satisfaction.
  • Development of an appropriate community ethos in which residents show respect and concern for the personal and professional lives of all members of that community.
  • The post holders will work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting the Duty Manager in training and development of the Residential Advisors, ensuring effective use of Residential Life resources and deputising for the Duty Manager as required.

You will work on a rotating shift patterns covering the following shifts:
Monday – Friday 10:00 – 17:30
Monday – Friday 12:30 – 20:00
Monday – Friday 14:30 – 22:00

This role attracts a Shift Allowance of £1890 per annum

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Residential Life Supervisor to work as part of the team delivering an excellent residential customer experience.

The role requires you to be flexible in your approach on a day to day basis, in order to deal with all operational requirements and support the team, as well as working across operational boundaries as reasonably requested.
