Kingspan Insulation is a market leading manufacturer of premium and high performance rigid insulation products and insulated systems for building fabric and building services applications. The No 1 Operative role's main purpose is to be pro-active in coordinating with the line leader in maintaining and improving upon; H&S, production, scrap, KPIs and OEE performance, and apply a hands on approach looking at improving all areas within the production environment. In the absence of the line leader, the No1 will be responsible for the management of the team and all performances in line with KPIs.
Tasks and Responsibilities as our No 1 Operative will include:
- Understanding of Health and Safety and associated reporting systems
- Effective application of Quality standards
- Complete understanding of product quality critical characteristics and quality requirements
- Be able to undertake necessary documentation in line with Kingspan reporting structure
- High level of process/machine perceptiveness
- Fully trained and be able to operate machinery and equipment to the required standards
- Understanding the line performance targets and ways of positive impact
- Supporting Line leader in training, developing and managing the team
- Responsible for monitoring personal performance and following a program of personal development.
Our No 1 Operative will have:
- Experience of working in an automated manufacturing environment
- Ability to work towards achieving targets
- A good attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- IT Literate
Whilst not essential of our No 1 Operative, the following would be of benefit:
- Qualification in IOSH and knowledge of ISO standards
- Experienced in the use of SAP
- Knowledge of lean systems and improvement techniques.
- Accredited lift truck training
