I am currently looking for an experienced Development Manager to join a dynamic and experienced property team charged with driving development of the organisation's significant land holdings and helping to deliver place driven schemes.

Client Details

My client is an organisation based in Milton Keynes whose objective is to facilitate the continued growth and regeneration of the local area. The estate comprises around 250+ developable acres where the organisation's role is to deliver economic and social value from its 70+ sites in line with the business plan.

This is a forward-thinking client who promotes employee well fair and agile working policies. It is all about the end solution of regenerating and developing landscape.

Description

Supporting the Special Projects Director, the post holder will play a large part in the promotion of the organisation's estate, placemaking, project management and delivery of development land led projects.

The key duties of the Development Manager include:

To aid and facilitate the preparation of Development Briefs and Planning PreApplications including agreement of key development principles
Lead on project work as allocated by the Special Projects Director.
To ensure that the organisation operates within the necessary legislative, operational and financial framework agreed with the respective Local Authority
Understand land assembly requirements and develop relationships with other landowners and partners
Support the Special Projects Director on large scale projects
Ensuring that projects are delivered on programme, within budget and meet agreed objectives
To engage with stakeholders as required. This could include the private, public and third party organisations support end users, developers and investors.
Consulting and collaborating to ensure a joined up approach to proposals. Profile

The successful Development Manager would ideally have the following skills and experiences:

Property Development including experience, ideally from a client-side perspective.
Professionally qualified in a land and property related discipline (preferred but not essential)
Ability to successfully deliver project work
Practical experience of working within a multi-disciplinary environment t (including for example, planning and development, urban design, placemaking).
An ability to work well proactively within a collaborative team structure.
An awareness and understanding of working within a political environment. Job Offer
