Employer Relationship Officer

Role Overview
One of the key barriers this charitable organisation's client group faces when it comes to finding employment is discrimination. Getting a foot in the door can be the very first hurdle.

Your job will be to cultivate relationships with local employers to raise awareness of the talent and skills of their service users.

By skillfully brokering introductions between potential applicants and major Liverpool City Region employers, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to find work.

The Charity is seeking an individual with good business sense and great communication skills, as well as emotional intelligence and empathy towards the needs of their service users. If you are passionate about their cause and experienced in building business relationships with a wide variety of partners, they would love to hear from you.

Charity Background
This well-renowned charity offers emotional support, practical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition and to their family, friends and carers.

There are hundreds of different neurological conditions including stroke, brain tumour, brain injury, Alzheimer's disease and many rarer conditions. They are there for every single one of them.

The charity has recently been successful in winning funding for several new areas of work including two new major employment projects. Their Directions & New Horizons projects, funded by the European Social Fund, are designed to support adults with multiple and complex barriers to work to enter the labour market.

They recognise that the pandemic has hit their service users hard, and that many of those they are here to support now face unemployment, financial difficulties and mental health issues.

Because of these reasons, they are expanding their front-line team.

Application information
This award-winning charity have recently received The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest accolade given by the Crown to Third Sector organisations.

The charity prides itself on being an open and diverse place to work and openly encourages those from minority groups to apply.
