Automation Test Engineer - Must have UFT

Location: Glasgow

Remote working possible

Opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer. Only candidates who with UFT /QTP/Winnrunner will be considered.

In these roles you will be working as a lead consultant to deliver world class software testing solutions to our impressive client list.

Skills Required

You will bring experience of delivering software testing in client-based environments, able to demonstrate skills across the following:

*

Deep understanding of UFT/Winnrunner/QTP

*

The ability to determine and implement test and assurance methods to support the development and delivery of software services and systems

*

Leading and implementing software testing and automation testing strategies

*

Experience of tooling selection and usage

*

Develop and maintain robust automation test frameworks from scratch

*

Design, Planning & Implementation of Automation Frameworks

*

Driving continuous development of the test function

*

Monitoring effectiveness

*

Mentoring and leading junior members of the team

*

Creating test progress dashboards

*

Contributing to testing knowledge sharing

*

Innovative thinker in terms of testing and approach

*

Adaptable to sudden priority changes

*

Effective communication skills with both business and technical audiences

*

Experience of building effective working relationships with stakeholders

Key Experience

Key to these roles is experience across the following areas:

*

Strong background in UFT/Winnrunner/QTP

*

Strong Agile background (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, LeSS, SAFE)

*

Experience of leading on test strategies

*

Automation frameworks (Selenium, C#, .Net)

*

Experience automating with one of the following languages, Java, C#, .NET, Python or Ruby

*

Solid experience of Selenium Webdriver and other automation tools

*

API Automation

*

Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google etc)

*

Understanding of Cloud/DevOps principles

*

Agile testing concepts and standards - TDD, BDD, continuous integrations and CI/CD/CR

*

Establishing any non-functional requirements such as performance and their method of validation

*

Relevant test qualifications and certifications
