Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head Grounds Person to join the team.
Location: American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, Lancing
Salary: Salary dependant on skills & experience
Hours: 40 hours per week to be worked across 5 days per week to include some weekends

Deputy Head Grounds Person - The Role:
Are you looking to join one of the Souths leading Premier League football clubs? Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club are now recruiting for a deputy head grounds person to support the grounds team at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing. This is a great opportunity to join our hardworking grounds maintenance team, who have the huge responsibility of making sure the pitches at our elite training facility are at the highest possible standard, ready for our players to train.
Deputy Head Grounds Person - What does the day to day look like?
This role will be responsible for supervising the senior grounds persons and wider grounds team, based at the training ground. The successful candidate will work closely with the head of grounds maintenance, workshop manager and another deputy head ground person to ensure work carried out to the training pitches and associated grounds and facilities is done to meet standards and deadlines.
Deputy Head Grounds Person - What we need:
Ideally the successful candidate will hold the following:
- Have or working towards a Sports Turf Management qualification to a minimum level 3 certification
PA1, PA6 and PA2A certificates in Pesticide Usage
- Qualified first aider and/or have received training in other first aid techniques
- A member of the Grounds Manager Association
- Certificated in the driving and operation of agricultural motor vehicles
- Be willing to undertake a basic DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check)
