Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be exclusively working with a Globally recognised metals Manufacturer based in Rotherham, in the search for a Scheduling & Planning Manager.

My client is looking for highly driven individual who can demonstrate relevant experience within a production planning/scheduling, technical engineering, manufacturing environment. Leading and mentoring a small planning and scheduling team, you will work cross functionally with the Commercial and Operations Teams, ensuring the needs of the customers are met in line with set KPIs.

Ideally, you will be data driven and be able to manipulate Excel to an advanced level. Experience with implementing ERP and Lean Manufacturing Methodologies would also be desirable.

This role will require strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. This role will require excellent attention to detail with a capacity to recognise problems and proactively seek to resolve these. You will be responsible for balancing demand with available capacity and ensure deliverables are met on time and in full.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

Managing and leasing a small scheduling team
Produce and update Production Schedules in line with the order book, minimising non-productive time where possible
Attend daily and weekly meetings (S&OP), contributing strongly to the success of the overall team
Highlight any issues to the production plans to the relevant teams ASAP and look for ways to overcome these
Focus on OTIF and other set KPIs for the department
Ensuring the consistent flow of material and raising any shortages with SLT
Develop and maintain relevant standard operating procedures
Ensure data is maintained to the highest possible standard

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:

Proven management experience of a small team
Relevant experience within Production Planning within manufacturing, engineering or metals background
Confident Excel and System user
Ideally Degree or CIPS Qualified
Strong internal and external communicator - able to build relationships at all levels
Strong numerical and analytical skills with a methodical approach to completing tasks
