Shift Leader - Critical Data Centre - Slough
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Centre Shift Leader within one of the fastest growing divisions of this industry leading critical services provider.
The successful candidate will provide technical support that is required to maintain and monitor the building services infrastructure of a Data Centre.
Job Specification:
* Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical & Electrical plant.
* Responding to any reactive throughout the Data Centre and making sure they are completed.
* Monitoring the BMS and provide appropriate responses upon alarm activations.
* Strong understanding of LV and HV electrical systems, data hall cooling/humidity, BMS systems monitoring, UPS, generator systems, electrical installation and safe systems of work.
* Ensure strong communication to the client and management team.
* Ensure the engineering team on site produce required near miss reports, dynamic risk assessments and detailed records of site activities, and ensuring any non-compliance is challenged and escalated where necessary.
* Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
* Manage workload accordingly
* Carry out works in accordance to health and safety procedures
Salary & Package:
* GBP51,000 Per Annum + Annual Bonus
* Continental Shift | 7 - 7 | Days or Nights
* Overtime Rates at x2.0
* 20 Days Annual Leave, Private Healthcare
* Pension, Training and Career Progression
The Person:
* City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* Competent High Voltage knowledge
* Current HV-AP
* Demonstrate strong communication and people skills
* Able to write report and carry out quotes.
