Supply Desk are delighted to introduce our established Love to Read programme. Driven by the shocking statistic that roughly 1 in 5 (20%) of school aged children are unable to read. The established Love to Read programme is aimed at primary and secondary aged children.

Do you have a passion for reading? Do you want to gain more school based experience? Would you like training on a specific programme that promises better reading outcomes for children? If so, then Supply Desk Manchester are here to help you with their new Love to Read programme.

Supply Desk Manchester are currently working with a number of Secondary Schools nationally to provide teaching assistants to deliver specific reading intervention programmes on a 1:1 and small group basis. This specific role is for a 'Good' Secondary school in Congleton, Cheshire. The aim of this reading programme is to improve reading skills with children in primary and secondary schools. The programme will offer training to any candidate and as such, make the positions of reading specialist teaching assistant available to people with little or no prior experience of working in a school.

The Role

Supporting pupils in a 'good' Secondary school with reading and English
Full time - long term for 10 weeks (Continued long term positions available)
Delivering a specific reading programme with proven success
Make a difference to children's reading confidence and behaviour as a result
September 2021 start date
