Supply Desk are delighted about their establishment of the "Love 2 Read" scheme which will be continuing from September 2021. Driven by the shocking statistic that roughly 1 in 5 (20%) of school aged children are unable to read, Supply Desk are proudly introducing their new reading scheme aimed Year 7 children in their first term at secondary school.
Do you have a passion for reading? Do you want to gain more school based experience? Would you like training on a specific programme that promises better reading outcomes for children? If so, then Supply Desk Manchester are here to help you with their new "Love 2 Read" scheme.
Supply Desk Manchester are currently working with a Secondary school in Congleton, Cheshire to provide teaching assistants to deliver specific reading intervention programmes on a 1:1 and small group basis. The aim of this reading programme "Love 2 Read" is to improve the reading skills of young children. Supply Desk are looking for Graduates, to kick start their career in Educational Psychology/ Teaching. The programme will offer training to any candidate and as such, make the positions of reading specialist teaching assistant available to people with little or no prior experience of working in a school.
The Role:
Supporting pupils in Secondary school in Congleton, Cheshire with reading and english
Full time - long term for 10 weeks (Continued long term positions available)
Delivering a specific reading programme with proven success
Make a difference to children's reading confidence and behaviour as a result
September 2021 start date
The role will commence in September 2021.
