ACA/ACCA Qualified Assistant Manager

Local Accountancy Practice are seeking an ACA/ACCA Qualified Assistant Manager to join their team. Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients providing high quality compliance services for a range of private clients including high net worth individuals, directors of small and medium sized companies and trustees, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Practice.

Specifically you will be responsible for:

Provision of accounting services including corporate and personal tax returns and special services for a portfolio of clients with annual fees in excess of GBP100,000
Provision of projections and forecasting information
Producing VAT returns and providing an in depth knowledge and advice service to clients
Managing budgets and compliance processes
Utilising a variety of paperless software applications
Preparation of budgets for accounts work
Raising bills
Liaising with clients for debt recovery as required
Reviewing and finalising client records to draft accounts stage and completed file sections and cross referencing schedules
Reviewing and finalising completed work programmes and administration paperwork
Reviewing completed VAT return forms
Reviewing self-assessment tax returns, business and partnership tax returns to include detailed capital gains computations and review of schedules of income from property
Reviewing P11D and other payroll advice and services
Reviewing payroll processes on behalf of clients to strict deadlines
Reviewing submitted FPS and EPS as required
Reviewing submitted Annual Returns and other submitted Companies House forms
Reviewing company secretarial work and statutory books as required
Reviewing work of junior staff, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards/requirements

To be successful in your application, you will be ACA/ACCA Qualified (or equivalent) and have significant previous recent Accountancy Practice experience.

Hours for this role are 9am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday
