Police Investigator-PSI
Working in conjunction with West Mercia Police, we are recruiting for some Investigators based in Worcester on an initial 6 month contract to wok on Operation Lincoln.
These positions are to support the general investigation team and also the Family Liaison Team(FLO) and the main purpose of the role is to participate in a wide range of evidence gathering and criminal investigation tasks
The main responsibilities for the role include
- Investigate offences of crime
- Interview and record Evidence of victims and witnesses
- Act as liaison officer for victims and witnesses
- Secure and preserve evidence appropriately including Attend Scenes of Crimes and ensure all evidence is protected and secured
- Prepare and submit files to the CPS
- Liaise with other members and departments as required
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- Previous experience at an equivalent level in a similar and/or complex investigation role
- Knowledge of PACE and CPIA
- Strong Interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels of society
- Possess an analytical mind, a methodical approach and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of the workings I courts and the wider criminal justice system
- PIP Level 2 Qualification is essential
The hours are Mon-Fri with some weekend work required and the starting salary on offer is GBP26,865
