Our clients organisation is all about people – the people who live in their homes, the people in the communities they serve and the people they work with.

They employ people who are passionate about making a difference who can take responsibility and get things done. And they have developed an agile, flexible culture which supports people to do this.

As a not-for-profit housing association, they provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. They build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential.

This role will help them to do this by providing high quality, personalised housing related support to young customers aged 16 to 19 years old.

● Successfully building on skills that will support the customer to access work, training or education.

● Delivering techniques such as coaching and strengths-based approaches to enable customers to develop emotional resilience, overcome barriers and take control of their lives.

● Managing aspects of housing management which will include, collecting rent, reporting repairs, maintaining the health and safety of the building.

● Ensuring that a strong customer focus is maintained in accordance with group values

● Providing practical assistance and advice to residents in areas such as welfare benefits, money management and independent living skills.

Our client need someone who has:

● Experience of carrying out recording/checking tasks and other clerical work.

● Excellent communication skills – written/verbal/numerical/IT/interpersonal skills

● IT literate including Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to produce letters and reports, support plans and risk assessments

● Ability to use authority appropriately; deal effectively with confrontation situations and challenge unacceptable behaviour

● Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

● An understanding of community issues generally but, in particular those relating to homelessness, this is not essential but would be beneficial

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS check is required. The ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays is also needed.

Everyone’s welcome at our client. Their culture is inclusive, and they are committed to increasing diversity. They enable everyone to be themselves at work, so that they feel at home with them. And they trust and support people to do their best, in a role that is fulfilling and rewarding because they know that this helps them to deliver better outcomes for their customers and their colleagues.

If you want to be part of their team and help them make a difference, they’d love to hear from you!
