12 month FTC

Our Bedford based client is looking for a Senior Finance Administrator to support their busy Pensions Department on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. You will be set up to work from home but must also be willing to work from the office as and when required. The purpose of this role is to deal with all aspects of payroll accounting as well as to process and monitor contributions for regulatory purposes.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Administrator will include but are not limited to:

Processing daily and periodic payments when required.
Dealing with related queries and journal in a timely manner.
Checking sufficient funds to make payments and escalate when necessary.
DC Benefits Cashbook.
Ensuring that all outstanding disinvestments are actioned or explained.
Dealing with related queries and escalate to Pensions Department when required.
Bank Reconciliations.
Ensuring that contributions are paid as they fall due and report/escalate when due date is about to be breached.
Making sure that detailed analyses are maintained and reconciled to accounting records.
Ensuring all aspects of Payroll Accounting, Processing and Control are undertaken efficiently; Including statutory payments, payroll control account, returned BACS and journal postings.

The Senior Finance Administrator needs to have:

Knowledge and experience of Financial Processes and related Accounting
Ability to hit the ground running
Excellent attention to detail
IT skills including Excel
Ability to pick up systems and processes quickly
Good level of numeracy
AAT Part 1 would be desirable but not essential
