Ibstock will be offering the following Advanced Apprenticeship Opportunities in 2021 giving you the chance to train for a highly skilled role; gain a nationally recognised qualification and get paid while you learn!

Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4SD
1 x Electrical (to include some Mechanical units)
The Apprenticeship will last for about 4 years and combine study at MAKE UK Engineering Training School in Birmingham, with on-the-job learning with an experienced mentor. The Apprenticeship will require you to stay in Birmingham and attend the MAKE UK Engineering Training School during term time.
On completion of the Apprenticeship you will achieve an Engineering Technician - Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Examples of subjects studied are
Principles and operation of Three-Phase Systems
Features and Applications of Electrical Machines
Electronic Fault Finding
Electro, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems and Devices
Engineering Maintenance Procedures and Techniques
We will encourage your continued professional development after you have qualified.
As well as training and qualifications, you will receive a competitive rate of pay, starting at GBP288 p/w in your first year with all travel and accommodation expenses covered while at college. You will be eligible for inclusion in the defined contribution pension scheme.
So who are we looking for?
You need to be someone who enjoys working with your hands, who can demonstrate a positive approach to work, a practical problem solver, who can participate in a team environment and able to use your own initiative. It is likely you will have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of 3 GCSE's at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
