Bookkeeper Administrator
Our client is the largest network of accountants, currently working from over 300 locations throughout the UK, who focus their accountancy skills specifically on small businesses and taxpayers needing a tax return in the UK. They specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings and tax advice to small businesses. They have 80,000 clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers.
They are currently looking for a part-time Bookkeeper / Administrator to join their Norwich South office.
Bookkeeper duties:
Manage incomplete records via client interaction
Weekly/monthly bookkeeping on cloud based accounting software
Support implementation of online bookkeeping
Running monthly and weekly payrolls
Assist with payroll queries
VAT return preparation and submission
Deal with VAT queries
Assist preparing personal tax returns
Office administrator duties:
Maintain client records using both paper and digital HMRC archives
Log incoming client queries in shop and over the phone
Support implementation of a paperless office
Maintain office timetable in accordance with client deadlines
Ideal candidate experience requirements:
Minimum two years of bookkeeping experience
Understanding of VAT, PAYE, CT600 and/or SA100 tax an advantage
Understanding of different VAT schemes and MTD
Administration of office including client calls and file management
Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
Good Microsoft Excel knowledge
Experience of Accounting software (Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent)
Benefits and opportunities:
Salary GBP15,000 - GBP20,000 pro-rata, dependant on experience.
Permanent position
20 hours per week
Flexible Hours between 9:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday
Remote working only available in emergency
28 days holiday (FTE) including bank holidays.
