The company:

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the UK's leading manufacturers of private label beauty products, and more recently, the creators of five new branded propositions in the Cosmetic and Skin Care space. Explosive growth across several global markets means that we are now on the search for an ambitious and skilled Marketplace Manager to join our rapidly growing, and experienced sales team and help us to establish our brands in the Japanese market.

You will be a key member of the team, reporting into and working directly with the Senior Account Manager. You will take full ownership of Japan's business development and have a solid understanding of the Japanese commerce landscape. You will design and develop strategies to expand and optimise foothold in Japan. You will be able to identify key areas for expansion, then drive change through mediums such as optimising fulfilment, enhancing customer relations as well as setting up online marketplaces such as Amazon and Rakuten.

Your responsibilities will include;

* Ownership of the core brand launch onto Rakuten marketplace, as well as other relevant ecom/social platforms.

* Responsible for the P&L marketplace with revenue and GP targets.

* Analyse e-commerce KPIs and data daily (using Excel, Google Analytics and other tools) to maximise sales opportunities, react accordingly, and formulate future strategy

* Work closely with the senior team to develop a launch plan for the Japanese market.

* Work with our trusted partner to develop our on-platform brand destination (shop)

* Work with our trusted partner to develop and execute growth optimization strategies.

* Build marketing plans for both on and off platform exposure.

* Conduct regular forecasting reviews on both stock and sales position

* Pull sales performance reports and share with the wider business

* Monitor, test and optimise - revising strategy to maximise customer experience and conversion.

* Collaborate with wider teams to deliver consistent and sustainable growth.

* Develop and oversee creation of territory specific content- sharing all new brand assets and campaign detail as and when it becomes available.

* Build marketing plans for both on and off platform exposure.

* Working closely with the brand management team to ensure that partnership marketing plans are built and executed in line with brand guidelines.

* Monitor and report on marketing performance

* Once Rakuten is launched there will be scope to launch brands through various other channels in the territory.

* Ability to think both creatively and commercially

* Sound commercial awareness

* The ability to analyse and draw learnings from data

* Happy to work at both strategic and operational levels

* Interested in the world of start-ups and entrepreneurialism

* Passion for beauty would be beneficial

* Fluent in Japanese with the highest ability of understanding
