Due to recent and future growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trading Merchandiser wishing to join a busy and expanding Merchandising team for an established but rapidly growing fashion business in the Hertfordshire area. The successful Trading Merchandiser must have a background in planning and trading for stores and online. This role will also include some travel between offices as required across the UK.
AS THE TRADING MERCHANDISER, YOU WILL;
* Plan a season - setting sales and stock targets by brand and category. Create and managing the WSSI.
* Determining option counts and buy quantities by style.
* Review weekly trade and take actions to maximise sales and manage stock. Update management on performance.
* Track deliveries and work with buying to ensure key launch dates are met.
* Ensure all new styles are available across all channels and existing styles/bestsellers are replenished accurately every week
* Regularly review the website to ensure all allocated styles are available and loaded correctly.
* Propose and monitor promotional activity and markdowns.
* Review end of season performance and provide key information to buying and design.
* Work closely with stores and attending strategy and trade meetings.
* Determine and monitor price points across brands in line with competition.
REQUIRED SKILLS;
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Strong commercial skills and understanding of the customer.
* Efficient and organised in a fast paced environment.
* Problem solver and analytical thinker.
* Systems knowledge (SAP) preferable.
THE CANDIDATE;
* The role requires a self-motivated team player with a flexible approach
* Significant experience as a Merchandiser for a key retailer.
* Self-motivated with ability to work independently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
* Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external business partners across.
* Innovative thinker with good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Quick Learner

My client is an established but rapidly growing fashion business in Hertfordshire.
This role will be office based with flexibility to work between both Hertfordshire and Central London
Salary Up to GBP38,000 DOE + Bonus
