Our client, a local authority, is looking for a Communications and Marketing manager to join the team on a part time basis( 22.5 hours)
Essential Experience:
Extensive experience of working in a senior PR, communications and/or marketing role.
Highly developed communications skills (written, verbal and visual), with an ability to present contentious and/or complex information in suitable ways to reach different audiences, and through different channels.
Ability to think creatively and bring a fresh approach to sometimes complex communications issues, or on those that are difficult to generate good levels of stakeholder engagement.
An understanding of crisis management planning, with an ability to remain calm and to respond effectively when under pressure due to a tight deadline or a crisis.
Demonstrate a practical and theoretical understanding of how local government can use social and other digital media effectively, and a knowledge of its limitations, risks and mitigations.
To be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
