Key responsibilities:
•Proactive, preventative and reactive maintenance of the plant equipment and tools (which includes electrical, mechanical and hyrdraulic elements machinery) providing excellent continued performance of equiment, ensuring an efficient, safe and enjoyable workplace.
•Respond to machine breakdowns, repairing where possible and implementing the red tag system whilst waiting for external repairs to be completed, minimising production downtime.
•Responsible for the repair and upkeep of the Company's site, facility and grounds to ensure excellent standards are maintained.
•Manage the planned maintenance schedule of all of the Companies assests, ensuring all maintenance tasks are complete by target dates.
•Work in conjunction with department heads on project based work, involvement in planning and implementing installations and moves
•Liase with contractors and ensure contracts are complete on time to a high standard
•Police and control the management of hot works, heights and other works permits
•Advocate Health and Safety to ensure safe working practices across the site
Essential Skills
•Confident in Customer facing settings, liasing with Customers, demonstrating our committment to continuous improvement and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations and principles.
•Works well in a Team environment, with the ability to communicate with employees of all levels, across different functions and cross borders
•Electrical qualification with understanding of mechanical disciplines, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment, plumbing, air conditioning and heating, welding, safety systems and processes
•Confident in negotiating contracts, meeting maintenance plans and budgets.
•Knowledge of microsoft office
Desirable Skills;
•Experience in simiar environments
•Powered access and counterbalance forklift license
•Understanding of engineering drawing and principles
•Clean driving license
