A fantastic opportunity has become available for generalist senior HR Officer/HR Advisor to join the HR team within a highly regarded business. This is a varied, generalist HR role covering all aspects of employee relations, Recruitment and HR systems development.
THE ROLE:
Employee Relations
Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
Assist in the provision of a comprehensive specialist HR advisory service to managers and staff regarding contractual, legal, policy and best practice people management requirements
Assist with the co-ordination of annual appraisals, contribute to employees' development and corporate events
Coaching and developing the people management team for best practice
Recruitment & Onboarding
Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies, leading the recruitment process, including writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions.
Carry out new starter inductions and ensuring the onboarding process is effective and completed.
Systems
Take the lead on our newly implemented HR system, Kronos, to progress and improve recruitment procedures electronically.
Ensure that the HRIS is maintained and up to date.
Assist in the processing of monthly payroll information for the Finance Department
THE PERSON:
HR advisory experience gained from a similar HR role.
CIPD Qualified level 5 and above or proven HR experience
Effective communicator with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of judgement and discretion
Proactive team player
Experience in developing and supporting line managers
An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
Self-motivated and ability to prioritise a busy workload
