As a Senior Support Worker/Shift Coordinator you will be working within a team, which includes a range of professionals as you contribute to providing high quality care. You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolios.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn't do last week because of you.

Where you will be working
Location: The Woodhouse, Lockwood Road, Cheadle, Staffordshire ST10 4QU
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide person-centred care for male and female patients with a learning disability/ autism or personality disorder. Gaining experience across low secure and locked rehabilitation environments to support better health and greater independence.
You'll work in environments ranging from small village cottages, where independent living skills can be developed, to 8 bedded units that facilitate the development of daily living skills. The service values positive risk-taking opportunities within a context of robust risk assessment and management to ensure those we support are kept safe.
The Woodhouse is located near Cheadle in Staffordshire, which is commutable from Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.
