Technical Compliance and Training Manager
Role
We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified electrician who has previously installed Electric Vehicle Charging Systems, who is seeking an opportunity to progress to a more senior role, within a rapidly expanding renewable energy business.
This position will be working to ensure the business meets it technical compliance obliogations, whilst also ensuring that the company's training and mentoring standards are correctly run and maintained.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical compliance of the business and ensuring that all installers are correctly trained to Industry and Company standards.
* This position will be a dual role (initially) which will incorporate working as an Installer and as a mentor to existing and new team members.
* Working with the Company Directors to research, develop and implement a Training program for new employees
* Assess trainees to ensure company standards are adhered to
* Manage the training program to ensure regulatory requirements are met
* Attending sites to complete surveys and mentor new employees to ensure correct standards are maintained
* Installation EV Charging Systems in residential and commercial premises
* Attending manufacturer training sessions, conferences or trade shows to learn about the latest technology
* Completing electronic paperwork to Competent Person Scheme standards
* Maintaining a company provided vehicle, vehicle inventory and tools
* Attending business development meetings with the company Directors
* Liaising with internal and external customers in a professional manner
* Attending regular management meetings
Key Skills
The ideal candidate with be a fully qualified electrician who has previously worked in either a technical support, training or compliance role or an installer with extensive EV Survey, Installation and Fault-finding real-life practical work experience.
Key skills required include;
* NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds Electrical Installations
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent)
* C&G 2919 - Electric Vehicle Installations (or equivalent)
* Member of a Competent Person Scheme
* Member of an Electrical Engineering Professional Body CSCS JOB / ECS (Gold Card)
* Knowledge of accrediting bodies and the process for approval
* Excellent IT Skills
* Full UK Driving License (maximum 3 penalty points)
Salary and Benefits Package
GBP40,000 Basic Annual Salary
