We are recruiting for a Bid & Development Writer to be based in Eastleigh or Manchester.

Job purpose:

• Working closely with the Head of Design, Estimating and Development and Design, Estimating and Development team to implement industry promotional material, bid writing on select tenders and case studies.
• This is a dynamic role and will focus on developing industry leading bid promotional material,proposal content and presentation materials, working collaboratively within the Design,Estimating and Development team and the National Project and Programme Director across the business to ensure we are able to demonstrate our full capability throughout all written proposals
• Working with stakeholders from across our organisation create customer solutions aligning to customer win themes, industry best practise and innovation and capability
• The purpose of this role is to be thoroughly engaged in the stakeholder solution bringing it to life through the written content ensuring any customer scoring models are embedded into the content; it involves travel to and attendance at Projects Design, Estimating and Development meetings to absorb and contribute to all aspects of the written content
• This is a role that requires the ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines and you will bring energy and a passion for excellence
Work with the Design, Estimating and Development team in the whole sale conversion process
• Understanding and interpreting customer needs from meetings, wider research, ITT content and interpreting this into an effective, winning conten t
• Attending key meetings to ensure content solutions and content exceed customer needs, and show innovation and best practice
• Writing high quality, customer focused bids from start to finish, including format, look, and another bid content
• Working with subject matter experts to obtain latest best practice and turn this into clear and persuasive content
• Evaluating, scoring, editing and proofreading content
• Lead production of presentations related to content
• Attendance and contributions to bid close down lessons learnt and development of best practice content for allocated areas of the EMCOR UK knowledge bank
• Provide information and assist in the preparation and compilation of proposal submissions
• Assist in the production of any other relevant correspondence and documentation
• Ensure that both outgoing and incoming correspondence and documentation is filed in a timely and appropriate manner
• Ensure all bid collateral is professional, persuasive and covers the full spectrum of EMCOR UK products , services, and capabilities

Person Specification

• Have proven and demonstrable bid writing experience and ability
• Possess excellent writing, grammar, and spelling abilities
• Preferably Degree educated (ideally English Language/Literature) or from a proven journalistic or professional writing background
• Have experience in bidding within the FM industry or equivalent experience
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have a flexible can-do attitude to ensure the best bid is created
• Be driven and thrive under pressure, where deadlines are critical
