Our client, a specialist, independent publisher of books and resources for professionals working in education, counselling and social care (supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people from early years to young adults), is seeking a Bookkeeper & Office Support Assistant to join their Brackley team on a part time basis of 15 hours per week.

Initially working from a rural location (whilst training on systems etc.) and then working remotely, the successful applicant will support the business in all aspects of bookkeeping, accounts administration and office support.

Responsibilities for this bookkeeping and office support vacancy include:

Bookkeeping / Accountancy:

* Creating and maintaining client and supplier files and records on Focus (a bespoke CRM within the publishing sector - full training given).

* Generating sales invoices through Focus.

* Matching purchase order numbers and inputting purchase invoices within Focus.

* Dealing with invoice queries and posting payments.

* Bank account, Amazon and PayPal ledger reconciliations.

* Quarterly VAT return.

* Completing month-end procedures in a timely manner.

* Supporting year end procedures.

* Stock control auditing.

Office / Administration Support:

* Answering incoming telephone calls and diverting them as required.

* Responding to emails and website enquiries.

* Supporting company webinars and seminars (3-4 a month) with attendee coordination and administration (up to c. 200 people on each) and entering booking information into Focus.

* Shipping guest speaker's books to webinar attendees in advance.

* Sales order processing / inputting data to Focus.

The candidate should have / be:

* Confident in their bookkeeping and finance administration support abilities.

* Experienced in using CRM and accountancy software systems. Our client uses a bespoke system within publishing, full training will be given.

* Conversant with MS Office applications.

* Happy to turn their hand to any task that's required, supporting other areas of the business.

Applicants will work remotely when established in this role, travelling to the office (near Brackley) for occasional meetings etc. Candidates will need their own transport as our client's offices are based in the rural Brackley area.

Working hours of 15 hours per week can be flexible (but fixed when established), i.e., 2 full days, 3 days of 3 hours, or potentially mixed days during the working week to total 15 hours. An hourly rate of up to GBP15.00 per hour is offered.
