Working alongside business development executives and other account managers, your role is to maintain and nourish relationships with existing clients to ensure that they feel valued and listened to. Your duty will be to communicate effectively via the usual methods, as well as providing captivating presentations to people of all levels of business - from directors to administrators.
Part of your duty as an account manager is to track the progress of the relationships you've been building and converting any potential problems into business opportunities. Whilst you won't be looking out for new clients, your duties will include taking ownership of new clients that the business development team have given you and ensuring a fluid onboarding process.
You will be required to keep your industry knowledge up to date and fresh via attending networking events, completing relevant training and keeping up to date with current affairs. It is vital that you are the font of all knowledge to the customers!
