We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team, working from our centrally located Nottingham Head Office.
As HR Advisor you will operate in a generalist role, providing end to end support across the employee life-cycle including on boarding, advice and support. This is a truly varied role which combines operational casework, recruitment and with the opportunity to work on various strategic projects.
Some of your responsibilities are listed below:
Ensure efficient and effective procedures for the recruitment & retention of employees across the business
Proactively manage both formal and informal ER cases and work collaboratively to provide support at all levels
Respond to HR related queries as a first line advisor to managers across the organisation, delivering extensive advice on employment law, policies and practises
Implement, update and monitor policies and procedures to ensure the business adopts best practice approaches to reflect case law and legislation
Proactively work with Department Heads to address issues such as absence levels and performance issues, supporting managers to effectively manage this
Assist with planning content and delivery of training programmes as required
Travel to other sites nationally and occasional overnight stays
Working closely with the HR Manager on various projects around improvement of HR service
The ideal HR Advisor will have/be:
Worked in a busy generalist role
Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
A dynamic personality with the attitude to always do better
Up to date with employment law
Well versed with MS Applications including Excel
CIPD qualified or equivalent
Prepared to travel.
