Deanston Distillery is the home of the Deanston Malts and is located on the banks of the River Teith, 8 miles from the historic town of Stirling, at the gateway to dramatic Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. It is the largest distillery owned by Scotch whisky producer Distell Group. We are looking to recruit a passionate and personable individual as Tour Guide for the distillery visitor centre to warmly welcome visitors and effectively communicate the distillery's whisky making techniques and amazing history. Deanston was transformed into a distillery in 1966. Deanston sits in the Highland Single Malt region of Scotland and produces whisky which is handmade by 10 local craftsmen.
This fantastic opportunity for a Fixed Term Seasonal Tour Guide provides a chance to be involved with a dynamic team who aim to create remarkable experiences for all their visitors, taking them on a journey they will always remember and sharing their love for Whisky with all visitors. You will be responsible for sharing the heritage with passion and enthusiasm and acting as ambassadors to the business.
Your Time at Work
The site is open across seven days per week and we require flexibility as some evening and weekend work is required.
Our Perfect Worker
This is a crucial and important role within the team, and you will be required to provide a first-class customer service experience. From warmly greeting the visitors to promoting brands, providing guidance on questions and upselling products alongside assisting in the shop. The ability to work together as a team and have exemplary communication skills are imperative.
We are looking for candidates to carry out all duties with an enthusiastic and engaging manner. Building strong rapport with customers is key and having the confidence and passion to represent our client in a dazzling way, ensuring the customers leave with complete satisfaction.
