Our client, a highly respected public sector organisation based in East Renfrewshire, require Senior Support Assistants on a temporary basis for an inital 4 week period. The salary for the role is GBP12.51 per hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm - 35 hours per week.
Main Purpose of the role;
You will provide a high standard of business activity in order to support the day-to-day running of front-line services relating to Neighbourhood Services and the wider Operations function.
You will be involved in a wide range of administrative support activities and you will also be involved in supporting other colleagues within the team in relation to allocating, checking and advising on general and more complex matters.
Main Duties;
To oversee the business support team, provide and participate in a comprehensive business support service in order to ensure continuity of front-line service activity in task such as minute taking, telephone enquiries, mail, taking and managing bookings/applications and transactional processing activity.
To schedule, allocate and check duties of Business Team and to deal with problems using own initiative.
Contribute to improvements in business support work in order to modernise and streamline process utilising digital technology where possible.
To be involved in day-to-day and more complex work involving a variety of digital systems, document management systems, intranet/internet updates and IT packages in order to support front-line service delivery
To be involved in supporting financial transaction work such as payroll processing, invoice generation/ processing, purchase order processing, stationary/PPE orders/system updates.
To be involved in activity in relation to data interrogation, analysis, statistics and reporting.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as supervisors, managers, colleagues in other service areas and departments to assess service requirements and take action as appropriate in relation to the task/activity/enquiry.
To be involved in recruitment and development activity relating to the Business Team.
To be involved in ensuring continuity of service by ensuring appropriate approvals of for example annual leave/training requests.
Follow and be compliant with employee national guidance/regulation/legislation/council policy and procedures which are relevant to Neighbourhood Services.
Support the delivery front-line services to high standard of work performance and service delivery.
Deliver a high standard of customer care to residents when undertaking your duties.
Have a working knowledge and adhere to all Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments. Ensure employee compliance in all aspects of Heath and Safety.
Be responsible for identifying risk in relation to front-line service delivery and escalating concerns where appropriate to the Neighbourhood Services Supervisor/Management Team.
Responsible for supporting new ways of working, implementation of new initiatives and culture change within Neighbourhood Services.
Be responsible for supporting and undertaking work instruction from other managers within the Neighbourhood Services function.
To undertake any other duties as required as deemed appropriate.
To conduct yourself in line with the Organisations Values, Capabilities, the Code of Conduct.
To participate in standby rota where appropriate.
