Employee Relations Manager - Harpenden
1 Year Fixed Term contract

Reporting to the Head of HR, the Employee Relations Manager will have line management responsibility for the Employee Relations team based in Harpenden, providing support and ensuring professional delivery of advice in a timely and effective manner, ensuring SLA compliance. As an Employee Relations Manager - Harpenden you will be responsible for:
* Line managing the Employee Relations team in Harpenden to ensure compliance with SLAs, policies and procedures
* Manages complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, change and redundancy.
* Supporting the HRD and HOHR on completion of ET3 forms and production of Employment Tribunal Bundles
* Coaching, training and mentoring HR Advisors, Assistants and Administrators in their work relating to disciplinary, grievances and other statutory and internal procedures
* Undertaking and supporting Account Managers in relation to redundancy and TUPE activity across the business
* Production of confidential monthly reporting
* Undertaking of ad-hoc projects as and when required
As an Employee Relations Manager - Harpenden you will have the following expertise and attributes:
* Extensive experience in HR - essential
* Previous people management experience - essential
* Solutions and detailed approach with the ability to identify problems and make decisions, taking appropriate action to resolve
* Enjoys and is able to work as part of a small team
* Methodical approach with an ability to work under pressure
* Uses judgement to know when to ask for help and guidance
* Understands and implements processes
* Builds appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with employees and line managers
