Accountancy Practice Client Manager
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Accountancy Practice Client Manager based in Kent. The successful candidate will work 9am-5:30pm Monday to Friday and will earn up-to GBP36,000 dependent on skills, experience and ability.
As an experienced Client Manager/Accountant, your role will be to engage with prospects, prepare quotes, proposals, engagement letters, onboard new clients, liaise with previous accountants, HMRC, third parties, and manage clients and their work so that they receive a first-class service.
Therefore, you will need to have in-depth Accountancy experience, and excellent IT, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Role Requirements
Be AAT/ATT/ACCA/ACA qualified
Have working knowledge of data protection and ACCA rules and procedures
Have a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Be very accurate and have high attention to detail
Be able to utilise technology to manage workloads efficiently
Have excellent time management and organisational skills
Understand prospect and client psychology
Have excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build rapport effectively and professionally with colleagues, clients, and external contacts
Be able to prioritise and effectively manage a varied workload with minimal supervision
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Have advanced MS Office skills - especially Word, Excel and Outlook
Work as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met
Role Responsibilities
Assist with business development and prospect/client engagement activities
Manage the due diligence process for new clients and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and ACCA rules
Onboard new clients
Manage clients and completion/review of their work (VAT, Year End & Management Accounts, Corporate Tax and Self-Assessment returns)
Focal point of contact for clients
Offering advice to clients and an ability to sell the firm's services
Meeting billing & recovery targets
Implement client engagement strategy and processes
Monitoring client satisfaction levels, client complaints, attrition rates and follow up on resolutions if appropriate
Other duties commensurate with the position
