About the Role
A Concessions Merchandiser is a passionate and self-motivated team member of the Concession team, who strives to make things happen in order to achieve results and single hand idly represent the brand on a daily basis. They will consistently deliver exceptional customer service within our Concession, exceptional standards in visual merchandising and build excellent public relations with partners across many different brands and types of stores.
As a Concessions Merchandiser at Claire's, your core areas of responsibility will be:
Effectively utilise the Claire's proprietary APP to complete visits across various partners within the required time frame.
Work directly with partner and store managers to build opportunities for increased selling opportunity such as instore events, shared promotional opportunity through fixture and product location.
Build a strong relationship with our partners through regular conversations updates and department changes.
Communicate with corporate office via the APP regarding any issues related to the Claire's area within the partner's store.
Using the mobile APP, ensure that visit surveys are recorded accurately and any issues are documented for corporate office to action and see.
Conduct as and when instructed regular department stock counts accurately.
Ensure that all the carton deliveries have been received correctly and replenished in a timely manner.
Check all deliveries ensuring all the new products are well displayed and replenished in line with Company guidelines (Planogram)
Ensure any updates associated with In-Store Presentation guidelines are implemented.
Replenish stock held within fixtures and stockroom, ensuring that all products are represented on the sale floor.
Make sure all promotions and "sale" are implemented and launched in line with operational requirements.
Make sure "Markdowns" are implemented in line with operational requirements.
Make sure overstock is kept in the assigned areas (inside towers, overhead panels, stockrooms)
Make sure all towers and stock room areas are kept clean tidy and well organised at all times.
Process demics, empty cards, transfers (when required) and scan cartons tag during the visit to the Concession.
Proactively look for and make suggestions on how to improve sales performance.
Ensure the Concession area is kept clean and tidy at all times and products are not left on the floor.
Support and train partner team, Leading by example demonstrating good product knowledge best practice and expected standards.
Visit concessions on a regular basis, in accordance with the partner's requirements and contracts.
Provide DSM with regular updates on performance of Concessions, providing feedback and recommendations for areas of improvement.
Using the mobile Clarity App, ensure that visit surveys are recorded accurately and any issues are documented for corporate to action and see.
Carry out additional concession visits at non regular locations in case of colleague absence or holiday.
Experience/Qualities
Require full UK driving licence and own car with appropriate insurance to cover multiple site visits.
A minimum of 6 months experience of working within an Accessories Jewellery or Fashion brand desirable as merchandiser.
Can successfully execute a good Planogram and Visual standards.
Recognises and shares commercial opportunity's to drive improved sales.
Results driven individual.
Must have good organisational skills.
Have good Communication skills with Claire's organisation and Partner.
Be passionate, self- motivated and great team players who will strive to achieve results and live Claire's values through all that they do.
The Concessions Merchandiser establishes relevant public relations with partners so that Claire's Concession is always a focus for them.
Has experience of working in a fast paced environment.
Can work on their own initiative also as part of the Concession Merchandising Team
Has a "can do" attitude.
Stays positive and focused under pressure.
Willing to travel an 80-90% of his/her time.
Mobile tech savvy - ability to navigate around apps and mobile usage for completing surveys and tasks.
Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks.
