We currently have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a HR Manager who has experience working within multi-matrix and unionised environments, to join our Head Office.

Within this role you will operate as a technical expert leading, and supporting as required, the delivery of the employee relations (ER) strategy.

This role will allow you to act as lead across change management projects and support the Director of UK Employee Relations on the design and implementation of the Strategic Employee Relations, complex business transformation and working arrangements plans for the business. You will also have the opportunity to deputise for Head of ER at Global HRD level when required.

Your main responsibilities as a HR Manager Employee Relations will involve:

Design/deploy/tailor and lead ER interventions to the customer using a range of best practice techniques including consultant methodology and project management techniques.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with trade union and employee representative groups. Leads on regular TU and Management Forums and Executive Engagement meetings. Leads specific working groups involving stakeholders from across the UK business to help them collaborate, understand their common objectives and work more effectively together whilst assessing the impact of strategic decisions on the various TU and Consultative Forums.
Lead the implementation of best practice employee relations programmes and projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to diagnose key performance issues and associated people requirements for both immediate and future business and employee relations challenges.
Work collaboratively with and/or lead (where appropriate) on ER activities involving other HR professionals to design and deploy innovative, timely and cost effective interventions across the business as a whole. Manage and promote effective employee relations for business benefit.
Support, and where appropriate lead, the Information, Consultation, and Negotiation process with the recognised Trade Unions/Employee representatives to achieve successful resolution, Transformation/Change, and Rationalisation activities, TUPE, Acquisitions, joint venture etc.
Lead in ensuring our employment policies and processes are up to date, proportionate and written in a style and format easily interpreted and applied reflective of the type of employer we want to be ensuring we are competitive in attracting and retaining a diverse and talented workforce
Contribute to the shaping of new organisation processes, practices and solutions and provide ER advice and direction to a range of stakeholders in relation to the design and implementation of organization development activity and outcomes.
Coach/advise business leaders, in conjunction with the implementation of employee relations policies and practices that facilitate delivery of appropriate activities/solutions.Essential

Significant experience working within an Employee Relations position.
Background in change management and be responsible for leading end to ends programmes (TUPE transfers, restructuring and redundancy programme)
Employee Relations Project Management experience
Demonstrable evidence of stakeholder management/influencing skills
Experience of operating in unionised environment
CIPD qualification What we're looking for in you:

Professional communicator used to working with stakeholders at various levels.
Demonstrates a breadth of legal knowledge and understanding to influence the business and manage business & transformation risk effectively.
Leads on a range of complex ER issues & projects successfully, whilst describing how employment law, regulations, best practice and labour agreements affect local business performance.
Demonstrates the ability to use commercial and business acumen and provide insight into the organisations internal and external business environment to improve ER/HR interventions in order to directly affect business performance.

Location: Farnborough, Central London and additional UK locations will be considered
