GBP30,000-GBP35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Full time, permanent, 40 hours per week

SAE is part of the Navitas Group, which is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, student recruitment and workforce education.

We are looking for a Credit Control Manager to manage our credit control process across Europe as well as providing reporting and insights to the business. The Credit Control Manager will work with stakeholders to ensure processes are followed in the recording and collection of student fees, resolving queries, and working with external agencies to collect aged debts.

Key responsibilities

• To drive the collection process across our Europe network
• Embed best practice collection strategies and policies to deliver aged debt KPIs for division
• Working to develop payment history analysis and reporting, to provide clarity on the current and forecast position of the debt ledger
• Occasional direct contact with students to review debt position and potentially set up payment plans
• Working with external Debt Collection Agencies (DCA) online portals
• Demonstrate the importance of shaping a strong control environment and focus on operating robust and effective processes in accordance with company policies in an operating model which is still to be fully defined
• Propose, recommend, and implement process and system improvements
• Ensure accurate forecasts are produced through understanding of payment plans

Essential Criteria

• Proven track record of success in a role within a credit control function, particularly managing change
• Experience in a Business to Consumer role
• Ability to influence others to achieve desired outcome
• Strong situational awareness, stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
• Desire for continual improvement, embracing technology and driving efficient ways of working
• Analytical, able to interpret data and use it to drive improvement; advanced excel knowledge
• Must have rights to live and work in the UK.

Desirable Criteria

• Working knowledge of Student Management Systems
• Relevant educational industry experience, particularly within HE
• Working with European Debt Collection Agencies
• Understanding of the UK secondary and tertiary education sector
