Have you worked as either a Senior Trainee or recently Qualified Accountant in practice? Would you like to join a more flexible, modern and forward thinking organisation?

Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client for two permanent Accountant vacancies to work based in Bridgwater, Somerset for an award winning Firm of Accountants & Tax Advisors. They are experiencing rapid expansion and are able to offer you flexibility and a package to suit. They pride themselves on "going the extra mile", being pro-active and providing good, quality accountancy, taxation & business advice in a timely manner.

The working hours are flexible, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm. We have two vacancies one from a Senior Trainee level and one recently Qualified - the annual salary is circa GBP35,000 - GBP60,000 PA dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* You will assist in preparation of accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships.

* You will also lead on small/medium sized assignments, assist on large assignments and undertake one-off assignments as required.

* To prepare accounts using Iris software supported by full working papers.

* To review accounts prepared by more junior team members, and to liaise with the client as necessary to finalise the work.

* To prepare / review year end journals for the client's accountancy system.

* To assist the Director of Accounting as necessary.

* To produce management accounts for clients.

* To manage a small portfolio of clients as the main point of contact.

* To work with the Director of Accounting to ensure statutory and client deadlines are met.

* To work with the Director of Accounting to ensure office billing targets are met.

* To conduct client meetings as required.

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

* Successful applicants would have detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of practice based accountancy.

* At least 1-3 years practice experience.

* AAT Level 3 or ATT Level 4.

* Excellent team working and communication skills.

* Good IT skills.

* Good verbal and written communication.

* An understanding of tax - desirable.
