We are currently recruiting for a fast-paced, manufacturing business for the role of HR and Recruitment Manager, reporting into an HR Director, working in a team of 4 with the genuine opportunity for growth and progression to the Head of HR.

This varied and busy role assists the Director of HR to deliver people management solutions and to support managers and employees on all people aspects of people management, current legislation, best practice and recruitment including:

* Draft job adverts and building the employment brand

* To advise line managers on writing job descriptions.

* Directly source candidates from LinkedIn, advertising and job boards

* Manage third party suppliers including agencies

* Assist hiring managers with the selection process

* Ensure all new starters receive a high quality induction

* Oversee and train managers in the entire performance management process from probation to appraisals, promotions, talent and performance management.

* Coach managers to act early and effectively handle employee relations issues

* Organise training courses to build management capability

* Be an active member of the mentoring programme

* Manage talent pools and succession plans

* Take on casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy

* Work in conjunction with the line manager to implement improvement plans where necessary and collate paperwork

* To oversee the more complex management cases, particular with regards to stress related and long term illness

* To assist the Director of HR to improve the way they motivate, and engage staff

* Help develop internal communications strategies to ensure communications are effectively coordinated.

Successful applicants should have strong experience of operating in an HR Generalist role and managing recruitment, CIPD qualified and ideally line management experience. You will be pro-active, engaging with a positive approach who can work at pace to tight deadlines and are looking to progress your career to the next level.
